LEARN TO PLAY
Learn to Play is a great way for aspiring hockey players to experience the game in a fun and safe environment, as well as give more advanced players an opportunity to improve their skills. These classes are designed for players of all abilities, from those just learning to skate to those seeking more advanced hockey skills.
- 6-week program (2 practices/week)
- All participants will receive 45 minutes of group instruction and 15 minutes of fun activity chosen by coaches.
- Children must be at least 5 years of age to participate.
- The cost per 6-week session is approximately $90, but you can pick the individual dates your player(s) can attend and pay just $7.50 per each individual practice.
- Players will also need to register with USA Hockey and pay the once a year membership fee that varies by birth year.
- Rental Gear is available on a limited basis. A security deposit of $100 required when renting gear. The deposit will be returned once the gear is returned.
Ages
Split into two groups:
- 6/10U (5 years to 8 years)
- 12/18U (11 years to 18 years)
Schedule & Cost
Four 6-week sessions spread throughout the fall and winter (see schedule details at right).
You pick which practice dates you can attend, and only pay for those dates. The cost is $7.50/practice.

Practices
Monday - 5:45 to 6:45 PM (1 hr)
Wednesday - 6:00 to 7:00 PM (1 hr)
Games
Coaches will decide when scrimmages will happen. They will happen during regularly scheduled LTP times. We will communicate dates for these via the Teams page.
Jerseys
Through our partner, Pure Hockey, a player will purchase their jersey.
Families do have the option to purchase a customized jersey.

USA Hockey Membership Fee
BAHL Ambassador Fee $25 (optional)
Our goal with our house program is to eliminate extra costs. We have a youth scholarship fund for this reason. We do not want any of our athletes to not come due to cost. If you need assistance, please contact the Hockey Program Director.
